Hello, Susan!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for asking this great question. I’m happy to hear you plan to visit the Disneyland Resort during
Pixar Fest, a celebration of beloved Pixar pals! In addition to the Pixar Play Parade, you can catch the new “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular” fireworks show in Disneyland Park, plus the popular Paint the Night parade in Disney California Adventure Park. I just visited the resort for the first weekend of these magical limited-time offerings and thoroughly enjoyed them all!
There are so many wonderful spots to view the parade route, which spans from the area near “it’s a small world” all the way down Main Street, U.S.A. My family watched from a curbside spot near Refreshment Corner and Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe. It was a great place to see the parade floats headed our way with a view of Sleeping Beauty Castle and Matterhorn Bobsleds in the background!
If you wish, you can book a
Plaza Inn Dining Package, which allows you to enjoy a lunch plus reserved viewing from a prime spot on Main Street, U.S.A. for the Pixar Play Parade. The special menu for this dining and entertainment experience includes fried chicken, white cheddar macaroni and cheese, lemon-thyme green beans, watermelon salad, chocolate-caramel pudding and a beverage. Salmon and vegetarian options for adults and kids’ meals are also available. Guests receive a voucher with each meal that provides access to a reserved viewing area for the parade, plus a festive Pixar-themed souvenir lanyard.
I hope this helps, Susan. Please don’t hesitate to ask any other questions you may have as you continue to make your pixie-dusted plans!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
