What is the best value or moderate resort to stay at for Easter 2014? We are military and cant use our park hoppers until the day after Easter so we are just going to enjoy the resort.

    Hi, La Rae!

This is a tough question because I have a feeling that you'd get a different response depending on which one of us answered it!

My very favorite Moderate is Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter [POFQ]! I really love the small size of this Resort. Plus, the detail and ambiance of feeling like you're right in the middle of the historic French Quarter in New Orleans is just awesome! The Mardi Gras-themed pool, Doubloon Lagoon, has a great waterslide that will keep your family having lots of fun for hours! Another thing that's so fun is that, as Guests of POFQ, you're also able to use the pool and facilities at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside!  The theme there is more like the rural Louisiana Bayou! There is a beautiful walking path between the two Resorts right along the Sassagoula River. You can also take a beautiful boat ride to Downtown Disney right from these Resorts.

My most favorite Resort in the Value Category is Disney's brand new Art of Animation Resort! You can either choose one of the standard rooms in The Little Mermaid section or a 2-bedroom suite in one of either the Cars, Finding Nemo, or The Lion King sections! I just love the theming at this Resort! It's truly awesome! In fact, once I spent the entire day just wandering around the grounds there and taking pictures! I felt like I was leaving one movie and stepping right into another!

I think you'll be thrilled to pieces with either Resort you choose as there are so many fun things to see and do at each one of them! I sure hope this helps with your decision! Feel free to ask again if you want some different opinions from another Panelist!

Wishing you a Pixie Dusted vacation!
