Ahoy there Ashlea, and welcome to planDisney! I'll be your skipper as we sail over to one of my favorite destinations in Walt Disney World,
Disney's Yacht Club Resort.
Ale & Compass Restaurant is a lovely, hidden gem, and I'm so glad you'll be enjoying a meal there on your upcoming vacation. You'll find plenty of delicious options for both seafarers and landlubbers. To reach this port of call from
Disney's Art of Animation Resort, I recommend a relaxing flight on the
Disney Skyliner. After disembarking at
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, transfer to the
EPCOT line. When you land at the International Gateway entrance to EPCOT, you can either board
watercraft transportation to Disney's Yacht Club Resort, or enjoy a ten to fifteen-minute stroll to the restaurant. If time is of the essence, walking may be slightly quicker.
Be sure to review
theme park hours the week of your visit to determine the best route home following your meal. The Disney Skyliner operates approximately one hour after park closing, so if you wish to return to your resort later in the evening, you could hire a taxi or rideshare service, or catch a bus from Disney's Yacht Club Resort to
Disney Springs. At the Disney Springs bus depot, board a bus bound for Disney's Art of Animation Resort. If you didn't already have dessert at Ale & Compass Restaurant and are in the mood to end the evening with something sweet,
Sprinkles and
Amorette's Patisserie are a few steps way from the
bus stop at Disney Springs.
I hope this is helpful, Ashlea. You must be so excited that your Disney adventure is just about to begin. Be sure to check out our newest
Panel Extras. You'll find everything from packing tips to ideas for what to order at some of our favorite restaurants. Thanks again for stopping by, and we'll see ya real soon!
