What is the best way to travel from the Wilderness Lodge to the Polynesian Resort for the Alloha Dinner Show? Does the boat go there?

    Hey William-

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Getting from place to place at Walt Disney World Resort can be tricky especially if you are traveling between resorts. The only direct route between Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is by car or taxi. All other modes of complimentary transportation will require a transfer at a theme park. By car/taxi the trip takes 5-10 minutes and will cost about $5.00-$8.00. If you want a more scenic route then you may take either a bus or a ferry to Magic Kingdom Park and then transfer to either the Monorail or onto a ferry across the Seven Seas Lagoon. The trip via the Resort Monorail track will drop you off at the third stop: the Great Ceremonial House of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and will take a total time of 30-35 minutes. You will then walk to Luau Cove which is another 5-10 quick minutes. If you have not enjoyed a ferry across the lagoon then head to the Resort ferry docks for a relaxing and scenic journey only Walt Disney could have imagined. The ferry route from Magic Kingdom Park will take about 45-50 minutes (all travel time included) to get to Luau Cove. Please say “hi” to Aunti WIni during the luau. The fire juggling and delicious Polynesian smells, flavors and fun during Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show will be unforgettable.

Disney Dad Tip: We plan around 60 minutes when traveling between resorts because there could be delays with any transportation. However, if traveling by taxi we cut that time in half.

WIlliam, enjoy making and eating many Magical Memories!
