What is the best transportation option to Backyard BBQ? We will have a car, and checking into PopCentury at 3PM. BBQ scheduled to begin at 5:30PM, but info on the BBQ description page advises early arrival. Thank You

Hi Mike! Mickey's Backyard Barbecue is a fun evening character dining experience. Kids love the live entertainment that includes a country band and a great roper who shows his tricks and invites some of the audience to help. Then of course add to that all the wonderful characters who come out to dance and interact with the children and you have a fun filed evening.

Your best bet to travel from Pop Century is to drive your own car that day. Your resort will give you directions to Fort Wilderness and it will take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive let the guard at the entrance know you are there for Mickey's Backyard Barbecue and he will explain where to park. Then hop on an internal bus that will take you to the other end of the resort where this event takes place. There is no parking there so all guests must take the internal bus and it is too far to walk. It is very easy and takes only about 10 minutes with a few stops in between.

Once the event is over you will follow the directions in reverse to get back to your car. I would plan on arriving at the Barbecue absolutely no later then 5pm and if you have Tier One reservations then I would arrive even earlier. Plan on the total trip taking about 45 minutes just to be sure. Have fun!
