Howdy, Sarah!
Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with your excellent question. I love chatting about
Walt Disney World Resort transportation because there are so many convenient options to get around the Resort.
Sarah, there is not a Resort to Resort complimentary transportation option to get from
Disney's Old Key West to
Disney's Wilderness Lodge. To get there directly, you could drive your personal vehicle or use
Disney's Minnie Van Service by Lyft (for a fee) which would be the most direct way to get there. But, if you prefer to use the complimentary Resort transportation, you would just need to make a connection somewhere.
From Old Key West, you have two options. You could use the Resort
water transportation to Disney Springs and then take a bus to Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Alternatively, you could take a
Disney bus to Disney Springs and grab a Resort bus to Disney's Wilderness Lodge from there. I personally think bus transportation is the easiest way to go rather than taking water transportation and connecting to a bus. But for the most direct and convenient option, I would recommend Disney's Minnie Van Service if you don't mind the small fee.
Because Old Key West is near Disney Springs, EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios Area and Wilderness Lodge is near Magic Kingdom Park, plus transfer times, I would
give yourself at least an hour or 90 minutes to get to your Story Book Dining reservation on time if you use the complimentary Resort transportation. Alternatively, with Disney's Minnie Van Service, you would just need to allow time for the van's arrival and driving time, which would require less time. To be safe, I would recommend 45 minutes, though it wouldn't likely take that long, just to be sure you have time. If you arrive early, enjoy the ambiance of Disney's Wilderness Lodge and check out the erupting geyser!
It's too bad Woody's horse Bullseye is busy at Tri-Circle D Ranch otherwise I would recommend traveling the way Woody does. But the next best options are the ones I mentioned above. I hope this is helpful for you, Sarah! If you have any further Disney planning questions,
stop back and see me here and I'll be so happy to help you.
Happy trails,
Keri
