Hi, Teresa! You've got your cruise booked (YAY!), and now it's time to plan how to get from one fun place to another... I'm happy to help!
My preferred way to get from the Orlando International Airport to a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is by utilizing a rideshare service from the airport. Rideshare Pickup locations are located on Level 2, keep an eye out for the signs. If you are traveling with a big group (too big to share one vehicle) or have a lot of luggage, my recommendation would be to book the Mears Connect shuttle from the airport to your resort hotel. Mears Connect works fine for a smaller party, too; I just prefer a rideshare service because, in my experience, it gets me from the airport to the magic just a little bit faster! Mears Connect can be found at Terminal B or C at Ground Level 1 at MCO.
When it comes to transportation from your Walt Disney World Resort to
Port Canaveral and from Port Canaveral to the airport, I suggest booking
ground transfers with Disney Cruise Line. Ground transportation can be booked by
calling Disney Cruise Line, on Disney Cruise Line's
website, or within the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Be sure to sign into your account first and select your reservation to book on the website or in the app.
Ground transfers are charged a per-person fee, and it's best to book as soon as you know you'd like to use the service, as space can be limited. You'll receive an email a day or two before your embarkation day with directions about when and where to meet at your resort to board the bus that will whisk you away to your Disney Cruise. There is nothing quite like spotting the ship in the distance as you approach Port Canaveral! You are in for an amazing time!
If you book ground transportation from Port Canaveral to the Orlando International Airport, buses will be waiting for you when you disembark the ship. Several cruise guests choose this option and the buses will be continuously loading and departing for the airport throughout the disembarkation procedure times. It's that simple!
Teresa, thank you for visiting planDisney with your question. Please return to us again if you have additional questions. It's a delight to help!
Happy Sailing,
Adrianna
