What is the best way to tip for table service meals while using the Disney Dining plan? Should we plan on using cash to tip? Are we presented with a check at the end of a meal in order to determine the proper amount for gratuity? Thank you!

    Hi, Lisa!

Thanks so much for sending another question to us at Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Ooh, you must be so excited for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World, with delicious dining opportunities to boot! I am so excited for you!

When Guests visit Walt Disney World and use a Disney Dining Plan, they have several options for additional payment while dining. Your server will present you with a bill at the conclusion of your meal, and you can see there what a suggested gratuity would be at that time. Should you order anything that is not covered by your Dining Plan entitlements (a drink in a souvenir cup, for example), you'll see that on your bill as well.

If you have set up your Walt Disney World Resort hotel account to enable charging, you can simply tap your MagicBand or card to have your dining expenses added to your hotel room account. You may also pay by cash, credit card, or even by utilizing other options such as Disney Gift Cards or a Disney Rewards Card.

My family and I just returned from a whirlwind Walt Disney World weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed our Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. For us, using our MagicBands for charging purposes is the simplest option, as there is no fumbling in a bag for cash or a card. So easy!

Enjoy dining around The Most Magical Place on Earth, Lisa! Be sure to send us more questions as you think of them, too. We love to help!
