Hello Natalie,
Thanks for stopping by plan Disney with your question. As you can imagine,
Space 220 Restaurant in EPCOT is very popular right now, partly because it's new, and partly because everyone wants the chance to dine in space station. To get a reservation will take a bit of faith, trust, and a LOT of pixie dust.
I wish I could guarantee my tips are going to work, but getting a reservation to this amazing new restaurant is going to take some luck. The fact that you are only looking for a table for two may help you. 60 days prior May 19, you will need to be up bright and early, ready to start trying to book your reservation. Availability for restaurants typically begins around 5:45 AM Eastern Standard Time. I would recommend starting to check even earlier, around 5:30 AM, just in case there is an early start for some strange reason.
Also, be flexible. I know you want a lunch reservation, but if you will still be in the park during the evening hours, consider a dinner reservation as well. The more open you are to different times, the more options may be available. You may also want to try your luck getting into
Space 220 Lounge for lunch or dinner as well. The selections are more limited, but you can order a la carte, and you'll still get the same out-of-this-world view!
If you are unable to get a reservation to either the restaurant or the lounge 60 days out, don't give up. Sometimes people make reservations that they can't keep, and when they cancel, new spaces open up. So, depending on how important it is to you to dine at Space 220, try back every day, or every other day.
Hope this helps. My fingers are crossed, and I'm sending a sprinkling of pixie dust your way!
Diane
