Hi Michael,
Welcome back to planDisney! If you’re a Star Wars fan, Disneyland is absolutely the place to be. There’s so much to experience at
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, but if you're looking for the ultimate fan celebration, every Jedi (or Sith!) should make the journey to Disneyland on May the Fourth.
I’ve been lucky enough to visit Disneyland a couple of times on Star Wars Day, and let me tell you, the power of the Force is strong! I’ve seen Stormtrooper processions, met special characters, taken photos in front of themed backdrops, helped build a LEGO mural, and picked up exclusive merchandise. When planning your adventure, be sure to
check out advice from my fellow panelists, specifically about celebrating May the Fourth; you’ll find even more tips to enhance your day!
If you really want to take the experience to the next level, consider attending
Star Wars Nite, part of the Disneyland After Dark event series. These nights feature special parades, rare character appearances, themed treats, and out-of-this-galaxy entertainment. It’s truly the peak of Star Wars energy! Just check out this
clip with highlights from Star Wars Nite 2025. Last year, tickets were available from April through May 6, so keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for 2026 event dates.
Can’t make it on May the Fourth? Don’t worry,
Season of the Force is another fantastic time to visit. In 2025, the celebration began on March 28 and ran through May 11, with themed food, merchandise, and entertainment across the park. The Disney Parks Blog released both a
Season of the Force Guide and a
Foodie Guide to make sure fans didn’t miss a thing.
One of my personal highlights?
Hyperspace Mountain! The Star Wars overlay on this Disneyland classic is my favorite version. And this year,
Star Tours featured new scenes from Disney+ series like Ahsoka, Andor, and The Mandalorian; a must for any fan!
A lasting addition from this celebration was the
Dining Package at Docking Bay 7, which includes reserved viewing for the Shadows of Memory: A Skywalker Saga projections and the Fire of the Rising Moons fireworks display. Add it to your Jedi to-do list—it’s worth it!
Looking ahead to May 2026, we're expecting
updates to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. Guests will reportedly have more control over their path as they help the Resistance smuggle coaxium. I can't wait to try it myself during the next Season of the Force!
Michael, I hope these were the droids...I mean, the details you were looking for. Feel free to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists with more questions. We’re always here to guide you in the ways of the Force for your next Disney adventure.
May the Force be with you!
