when is the best times to visit disney when the park is not as busy

    Hi Julie!

Unfortunately, the easiest way to answer that is the parks are historically less busy whenever children are in school across the country.  My wife and I really enjoy going in January, February, May, and October.  The parks are generally less crowded (as long as you avoid any national holidays) and the weather is very nice.  A particular nice time to visit is the first two weeks in December.  All of the holiday decorations will be up then.  It used to be very quiet during that time frame, but not any more thanks to the wealth of information out there on visiting Walt Disney World.  However, it will definitely be less crowded in early December than late December!  The week between Christmas and New Year's is historically the busiest week at Walt Disney World, followed closely by Easter!

I recommend visiting the independent website TouringPlans.com.  They have spent years collecting data and doing a lot of math on their data.  As an engineer, I'm a big fan of their work.  They produce a crowd calendar showing the expected crowds on every day of the year at Walt Disney World!

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
