What is the best time of the year to visit WDW...taking in consideration the weather, crowds and regarding hotel rates when is it the least expensive time to reserve or book a five night stay at any one of the disney hotels.

    Hi Anna!

This is a good question, and definitely something to consider when planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort.

Like most places, the least crowded times offer better prices on room reservations.  Anytime children are in school is going to be less crowded than when kids are on breaks (summer, spring, fall, holidays,etc.).

My family's favorite time to travel is early December.  We are a homeschool family, so we can be flexible with travel dates, but people also take their kids out of school for trips.  We love early December for so many reasons.  The prices are lower, the crowds are lower, the temperatures are usually very nice, AND we get to take advantage of all of the holiday decorations and celebrations around the resort.

A great resource for measuring crowd level is www.touringplans.com.  They use a formula to predict what crowd levels will be like all year.  I use this website for all of our trips!

We usually try to avoid the hottest times of the year (July, August, September) if possible.  However, we were there the first week of September this past year, and while it was very hot, the crowds were the lowest I have ever seen, and we still had a blast!

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
