What's the best time of the year to plan a family trip with three six year olds and one three year old. There will be six adults and four children. We'd like to stay together, so where's the best place to stay?

    Hi Paula,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting to plan a family trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!

Given the ages of your children, I suggest early May, October or December. When we visited with the girls for their first trip, they were almost 6-years old. It was May, the weather was great (aside from a few afternoon showers), the Epcot® International Flower & Garden Festival was in full swing and the crowds were manageable. If you visit in October, the kids might enjoy Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. In the fall, the weather is usually nice and the Halloween party is lots of fun. Of course, I have to suggest a visit in early December to experience the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort. With Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, I love the special treats, characters dressed in their holiday finest and incredible lights on Cinderella Castle. Since our girls love to enjoy lots of pool time when we visit, we typically visit when the weather is warmer.

With 10 people, you may want to consider a three-bedroom Grand Villa at Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The three-bedroom grand villas sleep up to twelve adults. Or, you could try The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Each cabin sleeps up to six adults so two cabins would accommodate your party. If you want to stay close to the resort monorail, try Disney's Contemporary Resort. Two rooms with two queen-sized beds and a daybed in each might work.

    Paula, happy planning!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
    Donyell
