What’s the best time of the year to go to disney?

    Hi Esteban!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you so much for bringing this great Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR! I love this question. I recently moved to Southern California from the East Coast, so Walt's original theme park was a brand new machine to me. But after being an Annual Passport holder for almost two years, I've lEARned a thing or two.

My favorite time to visit Disneyland Resort is during the Winter Holidays, which is about mid-November until the first week in January. Not only are both theme parks decorated in their winter best, there are seasonally themed treats, Disneyland Park hosts a special holiday parade, your favorite Disney Character friends don festive outfits, you can even meet Santa in both parks! Disney California Adventure Park hosts the 'Disney Festival of Holidays' featuring food and festivities of different cultures from around the world. But probably two things I love about this time of year are 1) the weather is pretty pleasant and 2) a handful of attractions add a holiday "overlay" to fit right in with the festivities. Radiator Springs, aka Cars Land, in Disney California Adventure adds their own twist of carburetor garland and jolly jingles everywhere you look. And the "it's a small world" Holiday addition is so beloved, the wait times can often exceed the bigger more thrilling attractions, so definitely grab a FastPass!

Halloween time at Disneyland Resort is also really fun. Mickey and his pals wear their halloween costumes daily, the Haunted Mansion Holiday turns the typically ghoulish manor into a complete retelling of Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, and there are also a lot of spooky treats. But if you're really in to Halloween, you're not going to want to miss the Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party in Disney's California Adventure Park.

If you're wondering weather wise, I like to visit in the spring, before it gets too hot vs. the fall when things are just starting to cool down. There's just something a bit more happy in The Happiest Place on Earth as the flowers start to bloom and baby ducks start to hatch. And bonus, spring also brings the Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival!

I hope that this helped decide some Disney days for you, Esteban, and if you have any more Disneyland Resort questions, We're All Ears!
