Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Holly!
A visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, no matter when, will always be magical! But I completely understand wanting to know when would be a more preferable time to visit for you and your husband while traveling together. I hope this visit is both magical and romantic!
Holly, if you’re wondering about crowds during your visit, rule of thumb is that there will be a swell in attendance during major holidays. For families that would have to take time off work or school for the littles, it’s easier to plan during those breaks. During April you might encounter spring break and Easter crowds. But I wouldn’t worry too much! With some good planning, you’ll enjoy an enchanted visit!
When I plan, I will usually check crowd calendars online to get an idea of what to expect during my visit. These third-party sites study crowds and take into consideration special events and holidays to predict attendance. Although it’s not an exact science and many factors affect attendance, they’re usually pretty accurate. You can do a quick google search for crowd calendars and you’ll find several. My personal favorite is Under Cover Tourist.
Once you’ve chosen your preferred week, be sure to mark your calendar with all the important planning dates like 60-days before arriving for your
FastPass+ if you’re staying inside the magic (30-days if off property) and 180-days in advance for all your
advanced dining reservations. By doing so, you’ll be able to enjoy most everything on your wishlist!
I hope this information is helpful. For any additional planning tips or advice, please don’t hesitate to stop by.
See ya real soon,
