When is the best time to visit WDW, based on crowds and good weather?

    Hi Debra,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question! As a Canadian, I have a funny feeling that my definition of “good weather” might be a little bit different from yours, especially as I look outside at snow and temperatures below freezing right now!

While there really are no “bad” times of year to visit Walt Disney World Resort, my two favourite times of year are in early May (before Memorial Day) and in late October/early November (before Thanksgiving). In the Spring, Epcot is in full bloom with the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, which always features a feast for the senses, including outdoor kitchens featuring fresh culinary delights from around the world. I also find the weather to be warm, but generally less rainy and humid than in the summer.

As for the Fall, that’s when you can either have a spooky good time at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or, if you visit after the first week of November, to see Magic Kingdom Park decked out for the Holidays for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. There’s also a very good chance that you’ll be able to indulge your foodie side at the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival during this time of year, too.

Once you’ve picked your dates, please come back and see us for more planning tips!

    Have a Magical Day,
    Lynne

Hi, I’m Lynne from Montreal, Quebec, Canada! I’m a working mom who enjoys snuggles with my son and my husband, who has been my sweetheart since 1997. We’ve been lucky enough to experience several milestones in Walt Disney World, including our wedding and honeymoon in 2009. As Disney Vacation Club members, we often plan trips for large, and sometimes even multi-generational, groups to come and enjoy the fun with us. Learn More About Lynne
