When is the best time to visit in June? This is my family's 1st trip anywhere! Where is the best resort to stay kid friendly, and close to the parks?

The earlier in June, the better! June becomes more and more crowded as schools across the country let out for Summer vacation.

It’s difficult to choose the best resort as the value, moderate and deluxe hotels all have advantages and disadvantages. Some resorts that are kid friendly and close to the parks are as follows:

Proximity to the Magic Kingdom -
Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge and Polynesian

Proximity to Epcot and Hollywood Studios-
    Beach Club

    Proximity to Animal Kingdom-
    Animal Kingdom Lodge

There is not one single resort that is close to everything. No matter which resort that you choose, there will be at least 1 theme park that is more difficult to reach. For instance from the Grand Floridian, the Animal Kingdom is reached via a rather long bus ride.

My recommendation(s) would also factor in the ages of the kids in your family. Families with smaller children will probably be spending more time at the Magic Kingdom.

    First decide your hotel budget.
Then only look at hotels that have nightly rates that you are comfortable with. Next, choose the amenities that best suit your family. Do you need a playground for high-energy kids? Would you like a sandy beach? Is a zero entry depth pool important (they are great for toddlers)? Decide the amenities that your hotel must have for your family.

I hope your first family trip is simply magical. Let me know if I can help narrow down your choices any further. Best wishes!
