When is the best time to visit Disney when it is no prime season. Also what is the most economical way to travel with our family of six. We need to do things for a variety of ages 18,10,9 and 3. We need to know the best places to stay. Deals on parks

    Hi, Marnie!

I checked Disney's website to find the most economical way to travel for your family of six, and I found some great options.  Using a time frame of late June, I found the following prices (subject to change and availability.)

There is a summer deal being offered at select resorts; at The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort, for example, you could stay seven nights in one cabin, including Magic Your Way tickets for everyone, for $3,901.70.($3,492.18 in mid-December.) A Family Suite at Disney's All-Star Music Resort, would cost $4,170.18. Neither of these packages include water parks, park hopping or dining. They do include Magical Express round-trip transportation to Orlando International Airport as well as Extra Magic Hours, when one park, both a.m. and p.m., will be open for the exclusive enjoyment of Walt Disney World Resort Guests.

The Cabins include a full kitchen, so it's easy to prepare many meals "at home," often saving us quite a bit.  The mini-kitchen in the Family Suites at All-Star Music will help you to not only keep an eye on your budget, but also to keep everyone well-fed (and happy!) when someone's not quite ready to leave for the day and somebody else is ready for a meal!  (In addition, the Family Suites at Disney's All-Star Music include two bathrooms, which is a great perk!)

Also, you could stay in a two-bedroom villa at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa or Disney's Old Key West Resort for $5,946.66.  Both of these villas sleep eight, include a living area, full kitchen and two bathrooms as well as both washer and dryer in the room. The pools here also have great slides for the kids, and Magical Express as well as Extra Magic Hours are included as well.

Other dates and resorts can be more affordable, too.  Once you've narrowed down where and when you'd like to stay, send me more questions so I can help you plan your best vacation yet!
