Hi Rachelle, and welcome back to planDisney! I'm so happy to see you here and to answer another of your questions! I love visiting the Disneyland Resort to see the trees in full bloom, and I'm so glad you asked.
After checking our photo stream, I found that the jacaranda trees begin to bloom in late March. While Mother Nature might have her own plans, your best bet for seeing the trees in full bloom should be late spring to early summer, usually around May or June. A mother-daughter trip will be so special for you and your mom, and celebrating her retirement at The Happiest Place on Earth will be extra magical.
Speaking of celebrations, the Disneyland Resort will be
celebrating 70 years of magic beginning on May 16th! My favorite parade,
Paint the Night, will return, and there will be so many other exciting reasons to visit during this magical celebration. I recommend planning your visit so you won't miss out on the festivities, and be sure to make an
Advanced Dining Reservation too! You can do this beginning 60 days from the date of your arrival.
Congratulations to your mom on her retirement! Please feel free to stop by again if you have more questions for us as you're planning. We would love to help!
Wishing you magic,
Lisa
