Hi moms! What is the best time to leave park for about an 1 hour 1/2 siesta/down time each day... Ps we wont have park hopper or extra magic hours... Driving about 3 miles back and forth from park to hotel and vice versa. Thanks:)

    Hi Janette,

I love going full speed in the parks but when I'm with my little guys, a break is always a great idea.  Since you are staying off property, you may want to visit a park that doesn't have Extra Magic Hours that morning.  However, I'd still plan to be at the gate and ready for adventure as soon as the park opens so that you can get the most time in before you go back for a break.

Since your trip is during the summer months, I'd suggest leaving the park around 1:00 p.m. or 1:30 p.m.  That is when it typically starts getting really hot.   You'll have time to get back to your hotel and have down time or a swim before you go back to the park refreshed and ready for more action when it starts to cool down a bit.

One advantage to staying off property and driving is that you can grab something to eat when you're heading to the parks or after you leave the parks which will save you money. We also take advantage of stocking up on bottle water and snacks to bring into the parks.

Please feel free to visit with all of your planning questions.  It is our pleasure to assist you!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-)  Allison
