What is the best time to go to WDW, based on cost and weather?

Hi, Tony!  It's great to see you back here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

In my opinion, any time is a great time for a Walt Disney World Resort vacation!  I have my favorite times to visit Mickey, such as the holiday season and the fall during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, but let's find a time that is practically perfect in every way for your visit.

The cost of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation varies quite a bit based on factors such as the time of year when you visit, which resort hotel you choose, and the type of tickets you purchase.  Peak times such as holidays and school breaks tend to be priced a little bit higher.  I would recommend that you explore theme park ticket and resort hotel pricing on the Walt Disney World website.  There you can price possible dates that you might be interested in to see which ones best fit your budget.  Be sure to bookmark the Special Offers page so that you can check there for some great deals.

As far as weather goes, I personally love the winter months in Florida.  I like to visit Walt Disney World Resort during the months of November through February for pleasantly comfortable temperatures.  Traveling during the winter lets me escape the cold and snow in Pittsburgh.  It's often warm enough to wear shorts while I'm park-hopping and enjoying Dole Whips, but it's not so hot that my Dole Whip melts before I can finish it.

However, if the summer months work better for your schedule, you shouldn't let those summer temperatures deter you from planning your vacation.  There are plenty of ways to keep cool at Walt Disney World Resort during the summer months.  I recommend visiting the theme parks early in the morning and later in the evening when temperatures are at their lowest.  Midday is the perfect time to return to your resort hotel for a nap or a dip in the pool.  Speaking of pools, the Walt Disney World water parks are a splash-tastic place to spend a summer day!

No matter when you choose to visit Walt Disney World Resort, your vacation is sure to be magical!  If we can help answer any additional questions as you plan your visit, don't hesitate to ask!  See ya real soon!
