When is the best time to go to disney world when we are talking about saving money and beating the crowds?

Hey Howdy Hey Jeremy and welcome to planDisney!

It is exciting to hear you are in the early planning stages for your trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. It is so much fun looking into all the resorts, amenities and attractions to experience in the Theme Parks that planning can be half of the excitement! Thank you for stopping by with your question about when the best time would be to visit Walt Disney World. I will be happy to give you a little more insight and some tools to plan your vacation. Let's get to it!

There are various ways to plan your vacation but they all come down to what your main goals are. If your goals are to visit with lower crowd levels and a less expensive time of the year, that helps narrow things down a ton. Typically Disney tries to keep the parks and resorts consistent with various incentives to visit from discounts, RunDisney events and so much more. There are a couple of weeks you might want to keep in mind that will be good to look into. Around the middle and end of August and early to mid-September, you will find the lowest crowds and potentially the cheapest prices. As much of the US will be going back to school, you can usually find a big dip in attendance for Disney. You can also look into the middle and end of January which also tends to be a bit slower, but not like the fall.

One helpful tool that might help plan your trip in much more detail is a Crowd Calendar. If you do an internet search for "Crowd Calendar for Walt Disney World" you will be given many options to look for, most of which are free. They will typically use historical data on attendance as well as the current scheduling of events in Walt Disney World to give you a prediction of what to expect crowd-wise. These can be super helpful in narrowing down which dates and how long you want to visit.

Another area of the site to check out is the Special Offers and Discounts page. This is the place that will show you all the available offers for Walt Disney World. During slow times, you may find that there are some great deals on resorts, park tickets or even free dining that you may be able to take advantage of. Disney Parks Blog is also a place that has a lot of big announcements for discounts, so you might want to keep an eye on that page as well.

I hope this information helped narrow down some times to look into to achieve your goals for planning your trip. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach back out and let us know, we are always happy to help!

    Have a Magical day,

    Nick
