When would be the best time to go to Disney World in November or December when there are less crowds? I want to go when the Christmas decorations are up at the resorts. Is the week before Thanksgiving week a good time to go?

Hi Nick! There is no better way to kick off your holiday season than at Walt Disney World Resort!

My favorite time to visit is the 1st week of December. The Christmas decorations are in full force, the crowds are typically lighter, the weather is usually perfect and our vacation is always magical!

If you have never been during the holidays, you are in for a treat! Aside from the beautiful decorations, there are countless events, special entertainment and celebrations throughout Walt Disney World Resort.

You will find decorations virtually everywhere. Have your camera ready or you might want to reserve a session with Disney Fine Art Photography. We have done this several times and the photos are always fabulous! Plus, by visiting in early December, we have been able to use the photos from our vacation in our Christmas cards to friends and family.

The Epcot International Festival of the Holidays is a can't miss. Candlelight Processional shares the story of Christmas with a celebrity narrator and orchestra and choir. It is spectacular! There is fabulous festive food throughout the theme park and as you tour throughout the nations in the World Showcase, you will be delighted as you learn about the different celebrations experienced by other cultures.

Another absolute must do is a visit to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa to experience the glorious Resort hotel's finest decorations and to see the life-size gingerbread house. The Walt Disney World Resort pastry chefs truly outdo themselves!

    Enjoy every magical moment!
