Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Shane!
Well, you have definitely asked the million dollar question today. I think if you asked five different Moms Panelists what the best time of year is to visit Walt Disney World Resort you might get five different answers. Some people love early April so they can catch spring in full-bloom at the
Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival before schools get out for spring break. Other people really love the fall when
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has
Magic Kingdom Park fully decorated with gorgeous autumn foliage. I have come to the conclusion that there is the best time to go to Walt Disney World Resort, as well as a few weeks that are my favorite time, and I'm happy to share both of those with you today.
I'll start by saying that the best time to go on vacation is whenever it works well for your family. If the only time you can go is over Fourth of July weekend at the height of summer, then that is the perfect time for you to visit. Walt Disney World is magical every single day of the year, so whenever you're ready to visit,
Cinderella Castle will be waiting for you at Magic Kingdom Park!
With that being said, my favorite time of year to visit Walt Disney World Resort is any time in the weeks before Thanksgiving and Christmas. I personally love the first two weeks of December, and my family goes there every year around that time. The weather is usually cool and clear and sometimes dips into jeans and sweatshirt weather, which is pretty ideal for me. The theme parks and
Resort Hotels are fully decorated for the holidays, and there's no better way to kick off the festive season than with
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and the
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. A trip to Walt Disney World Resort is already pretty magical, but a trip around Christmastime adds an extra layer of pixie dust that keeps my family coming back every year.
I hope this answers your question, Shane, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation.
