when is it the best time to go

    Hello Elizabeth!

I love vacationing at the Walt Disney World Resort, and I have been on vacation there every month of the year throughout the years! My recommendations of the best time to go are based on lower crowd times, minimal humidity, and the least amount of rain. My experience is that Orlando, Florida weather does vary, and May to September are more humid than other months of the year. As far as weather is concerned, great weather to me is low humidity, lack of rain, and sunshine with temperatures in the 70's in the daytime. I will base my recommendations on this and include my recommendations based on my experiences during those months.

    My picks are:

The first 3 weeks of October
    Early November before Thanksgiving week
Early December from the beginning of the month to around the 16th or 17th
The middle of January to the end of the month
    All of February

Typically, during these time frames, the daytime temperatures are in the 70's, so warm enough to wear shorts for most people. The temperature at night does cool down to the mid 50's to 60's, so you will need a light jacket and regular pants. There is lots of sunshine with very minimal rain and hardly any humidity during the times that I recommended.

During your Walt Disney World vacation, make sure that you join in on the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration, which takes place for over a year.

I hope that whatever month of the year you choose to vacation in Walt Disney World, you have perfect weather and lower crowds during your vacation!
