what is the best time to make dinner reservations because I don't want to miss the night time parades and fireworks

Hi Chaka!  When making my dinner reservations to coordinate with parades and firework shows I always allow no less then 2 hours prior for the timing.  If you choose a relaxed fine dining location such as Bistro de Paris in EPCOT's France pavilion you might consider perhaps a little extra time.  I find that this usually allows for the general wait once you check in, a relaxed meal, and still a little time to get out to get a position for the shows.

If you are a family that needs up front and personal spots to view parades and fireworks then you will need to consider even more time.  When choosing a restaurant remember that buffets will be quicker then table service if you want to make this a quick meal stop.
