Hi. What is the best time for dinner reservations at Contemporary California Grill to see the fireworks? Is there a specific seat assignment we should ask for? Would love to end the day havibgya great dinner and some fireworks! Thank you so much!

Hello Sarah! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

My wife and I had Advanced Dining Reservations for California Grill during one of the final showings of the Wishes: Fireworks Extravaganza this past April to celebrate completing the Star Wars Half Marathon - The Dark Side. It is one of the most Endlessly Magical places to be in all of Walt Disney World Resort.

The food was delicious, the ambience extraordinary and the view of the fireworks was as unbelievable as advertised!

While you can make requests when you book Advanced Dining Reservations, you will probably have to wait until you arrive for your meal to request a table by the window(the most unobstructed table views) if you want to have the best seat in which to view the Happily Ever After Fireworks Show. If you mention to the Cast Members that you would be willing to wait for the best table available in the California Grill Lounge, they may be able to grant your request.

If not, most tables at California Grill have a great view of the fireworks at Magic Kingdom.  There is also an outdoor terrace where many Guests go to view the Fireworks before returning to their tables.

I recommend that you book your Advanced Dining Reservations for 45 minutes to an hour before the Fireworks are scheduled to start to ensure that you are seated in advance of the Extravaganza.

    Bon Appétit!
