    What is the best time of day to see the animals at the Animal Kingdom? Also, if you go to the AK during the evening extended hours what do you suggest doing.

    Hi Marissa!

    Animal Kingdom is a spectacular park!  The animals on Kilimanjaro Safari, and on the exploration trails, like my youngest son, like to siesta in the afternoon.  I'd therefore, recommend checking these attractions out as early as possible on your visit to the park.  In fact, I'd recommend making a beeline over to the Safari as soon as you enter to maximize your animal-spotting experience.

    During the extra magic evening hours at Animal Kingdom, I'd focus on the "thrill" rides, including DINOSAUR, Expedition Everest, Primeval Whirl and Kali River Rapids, while the elephants and their other safari friends are nestled in for the night!  My family loved to end our visit to Animal Kingdom with a visit to the Rainforest Cafe located inside the park.  This location tends to be much less crowded than the Downtown Disney restaurant, and is a great way to end your day.
