What is the best time to see characters at Christmas time?

Hello Brittany! Thanks so much for your question. My favorite time of the year to visit Walt Disney World is during the holiday season. I can't pinpoint why, but there is just something extra magical in seeing the parks and resorts all decked out in festive Christmas trees, gingerbread, and ribbons. I love it so much that I have planned a family trip for this December and I can't wait! I can smell the gingerbread house at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa already!

One of my favorite things to do at Walt Disney World during the holidays is attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. During this specially ticketed event, there is a special Christmas-themed parade, along with complimentary hot cocoa and cookies as well as a special fireworks spectacular called Holiday Wishes - Celebrate The Spirit Of The Season. There are also many characters brought out for this special event. In my experience, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is the best time to see a lot of characters at once. Some of the characters have a short wait, but then others like the Seven Dwarfs will have a much longer wait, so if you plan on attending the event make sure you go in with a plan of action.

Also, if you plan on attending, make sure to purchase your tickets in advance because they will start selling out soon since it is nearing December.

If you need anything else, please let us know, and we'd be happy to help. Have a magical holiday vacation at Walt Disney World!
