When is the best time to call the resort's front desk to ask about room upgrades?

    Hi Liz,

If you are asking for a specific room location in the category that you have reserved and paid for, then you want to call exactly 9 days prior to arrival as that is when the front desk gets their arrival lists. However, if you are hoping for a little pixie dust in the form of a complimentary room upgrade, then you will want to call in the morning on the day of arrival as that is when they know exactly what they have left. I've been told that they start working on that at around 8:00am. I've also been told though, that guests should wait until check-in to ask as things can fluctuate during the day and when you are standing right in front of them, they can better see what is available at that point. Keep in mind that upgrades are never guaranteed, don't happen often and are based on availability.

Wishing you a pixie dusted vacation,

    Kaylene
