Hiya, Olivia! Welcome to planDisney!
It looks like you’re planning a trip to
The Most Magical Place on Earth early next year! How exciting! February is a great time of year to visit, Olivia. The weather is generally quite lovely, warm but not too hot. Plus, the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is usually held in January and February, so you should be able to take full advantage of its offerings!
To answer your question, Olivia, there’s never a bad time to purchase your
Walt Disney World Resort tickets. Having said that, here are a couple of things to keep in mind. Sometimes
special offers will be released that include savings on theme park tickets. These are generally released closer to the season to which they apply. If savings are released, in my experience, we likely won’t see those for a few more months. If you purchase a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package that includes a stay in a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel and theme park tickets, and a special offer is later released that applies to your booking, you could apply those savings to your reservation. Of course, savings are never guaranteed.
In my opinion, it is best practice to have your tickets purchased at least 60 days before you travel. This is when you’ll first be able to make your
dining reservations. At this point, you’ll likely have a good idea of how many days you intend to spend in the parks and which days you’ll be visiting each park.
In the end, there is no right or wrong answer! The best time to purchase your tickets will be whenever it makes the most sense for you and your travel party. I hope you’ve found this helpful, Olivia! If you have any other questions as you continue to plan your magical visit, please don’t hesitate to come back and see us here at

Happy planning!
