Best time to build a lightsaber? I asked about storing the saber while on a ride. One recommendation was to reserve a time slot later in the day to build it Previously I read make your light saber reservation early to guarantee admission to galaxy edge.

    Hi Fred!

Building a Handbuilt Lightsaber is going to be one of the highlights of your day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, no matter what time you choose to experience it.

I think that reserving a later time is a good idea; however, it sounds like you want to be able to join a boarding group for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance so an early reservation would work best. If you want to join a boarding group, your best bet is to arrive at rope drop, but do not worry about where you will store your lightsaber. Once you complete the construction of your Handbuilt Lightsabers at Savi's Workshop, be sure to let the CastMember know that you are interested in Souvenir Pickup, which allows you to make your purchase and have it delivered to a location near the front entrance for you to pick up as you exit. That means you can arrive, get your boarding pass, create your lightsaber, enjoy Disney’s Hollywood Studios, grab a bite to eat, and then end your time picking up your purchase as you leave.

    Have a magical time!
