What's the best way to throw away unnecessary magic bands?

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Janne! MagicBands are one of my favorite accessories and I always make sure to pack a few along with me every time I go on vacation to Walt Disney World Resort so I can switch them out depending on which Theme Park I'm planning to visit. MagicBands are reusable so you can wear them again and again on any trips you have planned, as long as they're linked to your My Disney Experience account!

If you are finished with a MagicBand that you've used a few times and you want to recycle it, the best thing to do would be to pack it with you on your next trip to Walt Disney World Resort and bring it to the Front Desk of your Resort Hotel. There is a recycling program for MagicBands and they get used in the most unexpected places! A Cast Member at Disney's Art of Animation Resort recently told me that they're recycled and used in part to make the soft, rubberized flooring that you find in playgrounds, so you never know what might happen with your old MagicBand. I also know some people who like to frame theirs in shadowboxes as a souvenir from their vacation, and I've also heard of some families linking theirs together in a garland to hang on their Christmas tree if you're feeling crafty and want to put them on display.

    Have a magical day, Janne!
