What are the best things to do/parks to visit at Disney World with a 1 year old?

    Hi, Rich!

I first brought my youngest to Walt Disney World Resort when he was just one. Remembering his reactions and excitement as he took it all in and met his favorite characters for the first time still brings a tear to my eye almost eight years later!

Your little one can enjoy every show, parade, fireworks display and character experience. Little ones can also experience any ride attraction without a height requirement - you will be surprised to see how many there are! The best Theme Parks for your toddler would depend on his/her personal interests. To help you, I have listed below my personal top five 'must dos' for the little guys at each Theme Park.

    Magic Kingdom Park
    Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade
Casey Jr. Splash 'N' Soak Station
    Enchanted Tales with Belle
    Peter Pan's Flight
Meet Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater

    Epcot
Meet Disney Pals at the Epcot Character Spot
    Turtle Talk With Crush
    Journey Into Imagination With Figment
The Seas with Nemo & Friends
    IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth

    Disney's Hollywood Studios
Beauty and the Beast-Live on Stage
Disney Junior - Live on Stage!
Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show
    Muppet*Vision 3D
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration

    Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park
    Festival of the Lion King
    Rafiki's Planet Watch
    Kilimanjaro Safaris
    The Boneyard
Animal viewing: Pangani Forest Exploration Trail, Maharajah Jungle Trek, and Discovery Island Trails

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
