What is the best table service restaurant for boys age 5 and 9?

Mandy, welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My boys are currently 8 and 11 years old and have been visiting Walt Disney World since they were 1 and 4 years old. They love the dining at Walt Disney World just as much as the attractions.

The Table Service restaurant that my boys always ask to visit is Teppan Edo at Epcot. The Chefs prepare an authentic Japanese meal right in front of your eyes at with a little show to go along with the cooking. There is no ‘when is the food going to get here?’ because the boys are too busy watching their meal being prepared.  My guys also seem to eat more when dining at Teppan Edo, so I know their meals will not go to waste. I am not sure if it is because the food is so tasty or because they watched the meal being cooked and are extra excited about their meal. Either way, mom is happy!

My princes’ second favorite restaurant is also at Epcot. They love to celebrate Oktoberfest at Biergarten Restaurant. Some of their reasons why this restaurant is ‘awesome’ is their love of Buffets and the live German entertainment. There is such an upbeat and lively atmosphere that you feel that you are truly joining in on a real German celebration. I can’t get them to polka with me though – maybe on our next trip!

My youngest would also want me to be sure to tell you about the Steak on the children's dinner menu at Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom Park. According to him, it is the best steak in the world. While at Be Our Guest Restaurant, don’t forget to try the grey stuff – it’s delicious!

    Have a magical day, Mandy!

Meet the Panelist: Rachel, Wisconsin

Hi, I’m Rachel! I am a “boy mom” to two rowdy little men at home and married to my high school sweetheart. I am fortunate enough that my prince charming loves all things Disney just as much as I do! For me, planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be just as magical as being there. It brings our family together as we dream, plan, and count down the days. I would be honored to help plan your visit and share in your family’s very own magic! Learn More About Rachel
