What’s the best way to spend a “rest day” or a day without a ticket? Also don’t want to just be in Disney springs, there are so many resorts to visit and see but conflicting information or unclear about how to visit them or see them unless staying there.

    Hiya Danny!

Welcome to planDisney! Oh boy, a rest day without a ticket still sounds like a perfect vacation day! There's still plenty of fun to be had in the most magical place on Earth, even if you don't have a ticket for the Parks and want to explore outside of Disney Springs!

First off, you could always head over to one of the many Walt Disney World Resorts Hotels and check out what they have to offer. Now, unless you have a Resort room reservation or a dining reservation you cannot drive into one of the Resorts to park or even have a rideshare or taxi drop you off. You have to use the complimentary Resort transportation to enter and explore the beautiful unique beautiful grounds and enjoy seasonal decorations, movies under the stars, or campfire sing-alongs

Another idea that is a bit active is to rent a bike and take a leisurely ride along beautiful wooded paths and peaceful canals. Have you ever visited Disney's BoardWalk? It has a beautiful actual boardwalk with street performers, midway games, and a view of the EPCOT nighttime spectacular. I especially love how it looks lit up at night!

Why not try some golf? Both the miniature and regular kind? Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf courses and the Winter Summerland Miniature Golf courses are on-site adventures perfect for anyone with detailed animated obstacles and even surprise water features! Disney's Palm Golf Course, Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course, Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course, and Disney's Magnolia Golf Course are worth a visit and if you don't know how to golf there are always lessons

An Enchanting Extra I am dreaming to try myself is Ferrytale Fireworks: A Sparkling Dessert Cruise! Wanting to set a romantic mood with a special someone? Consider a Horse Drawn Excursion-Carriage Ride followed by Sangria University at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort.

So there you have it! There are so many more things to do but I have run out of space! Whether you're in the mood for a relaxing Resort day or a fun-filled adventure, there's always something to do when not in the Parks!

    Have a magical time!

Hey, it's Nimmy from New York! Just like my guy Jiminy Cricket I am your wisecracking and helpful guide to making the best decisions for your Disney vacation! My husband and I work very hard to journey to our favorite place on Earth, Walt Disney World Resort, as much as we can. We have traveled as just adults, with babies, kids, teenagers, and senior citizens. We have seen so many characters, eaten at amazing places, and consumed a ton of Dole Whips. So "give a little whistle" and let me be your guide! Learn More About Nimmy
