what are the best sit down restaurants to eat at in the Magic Kingdom for 8 year old boy?

Welcome to planDisney, Virginia! I love your question! Planning Disney Dining is one of my favorite parts of planning our vacations!

My wife and I have taken our sons to many dining locations at Magic Kingdom Park! Our favorite, by far, is Be Our Guest Restaurant! This large, three-room restaurant is situated in Beast’s Castle in Fantasyland! There are three rooms for seating. There is the Grand Ballroom (our favorite) which is where Belle and Beast shared their magical dance. There is the West Wing which is still home to the enchanted rose. And, there is the castle gallery which is where Belle’s library is found!

My three sons, now 15, 15, and 12 still ask to eat at this restaurant during every visit. You will truly feel that you are a Guest in Beast’s castle. The large window in the Grand Ballroom looks out over a snowy landscape as snow falls outside. I think our favorite part of this amazing meal is dessert! We love the “grey stuff!” As Lumiere says, “It’s delicious!” And, while not guaranteed, the Master of the Castle himself has been known to make his way through the castle as his Guests dine!

Virginia, Be Our Guest Restaurant is one of the most popular dining locations at the Walt Disney World Resort! You can make your advanced reservations 60-days prior to your vacation arrival date! I now prefer to use the My Disney Experience app to make all of our dining reservations. It’s very fast and convenient! Have a credit card close by when making your reservation. It will be needed to hold your reservation.
