Hi there, Elena! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
Walt Disney once said, “Here in Florida, we have something special we never enjoyed at Disneyland…the blessing of size. There’s enough land here to hold all the ideas and plans we can possibly imagine.” At twice the size of the island of Manhattan, Walt Disney World is certainly big, and even the most seasoned travelers need directions from time to time.
I always use the
My Disney Experience mobile app whenever I visit Walt Disney World. Not only does it help me manage my tickets and reservations, but it also provides step-by-step directions and estimated wait times to most locations around the resort. Make sure you have it downloaded to your mobile device, and you should have no problem navigating the Vacation Kingdom of the World.
At the time I’m writing this, the My Disney Experience mobile app suggests taking a
water taxi from Saratoga Springs to Port Orleans - French Quarter. You’ll want to walk to the Disney Springs Marketplace Boat Dock and look for the Purple Launch. From there, a Disney water taxi will take you down the Sassagoula River to the French Quarter. It’s that easy!
This water-based option is only a couple of minutes quicker than walking to the Disney Springs bus stop and taking a complimentary bus to the French Quarter, but estimated travel times and suggested routes may vary depending on when you’re traveling.
Elena, I hope this info helps with your upcoming visit, and don’t forget to swing by
Scat Cat’s Club when you visit Port Orleans - French Quarter for their famous Mickey-shaped beignets. Come right back to planDisney if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
