Hey howdy hey, Jill! Thanks for moseying on over to planDisney with your question. Let’s help you have a rootin’-tootin’ time in the wilderness!
We’re huge fans of
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in my family. We love staying in the cute and comfy cabins, and there’s a ton of fun things to do! Luckily, you can get to “the Fort” from the
Magic Kingdom Park almost as quickly as you can say “There’s a snake in my boot!” Just head to the
boat launches in front of the park entrance and look for signage directing you to the boat bound for Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Once onboard, your journey will take you to the Fort Wilderness Marina in about 15 minutes. From there, it's a short walk to amenities like
Trail's End Restaurant and
Tri-Circle-D Ranch.
To return to the Magic Kingdom after your adventure, just head back to the Marina and catch the Green Flag launch for direct service to the theme park dock. Do keep in mind that Disney transportation keeps running for about an hour to 90 minutes after park closing, so you’ll want to account for both the boat and
bus operating times if you’ll be catching a ride back to your Resort hotel.
Jill, wherever your travels take you at the Walt Disney World Resort, I hope you have a whole bunch of fun! Be sure to come see us again if you have any more questions, ya hear?
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
