Hi LisaAnn,
I love
Disney's BoardWalk Villas! This is my Disney Vacation Club home resort. I have stayed in many villas in various locations at Disney's BoardWalk Villas.
Part of where your villa is located will depend on the view of the villa that you booked. A standard view villa has a view of of the resort grounds or parking area, and is generally the least expensive in terms of Disney Vacation Club vacation points or dollars in cost per night. A preferred view villa includes views of a pool, water, or garden area. A BoardWalk view has a view of the BoardWalk. My favorite of these views is the BoardWalk view. I love being able to go out on my balcony in the morning and enjoy a cup of coffee while overlooking Crescent Lake. I also enjoy seeing the hustle and bustle of Disney's BoardWalk from my window at night. Some people feel that this is a loud place to be, but I think it just provides a pleasant background noise. You also might enjoy a pool view, but be forewarned: at Luna Park pool, the eyes of the clown on Keister Coaster stay lit up all night!
As to where in the resort you might want to request, Disney's BoardWalk Villas does have very long hallways. To cut down on walking, you might want to request a room closer to the lobby. If you are closer to the lobby, you will be closer to both boat and bus transportation. I have never really minded a room all the way at the end of the hallways. In fact, we often reminisce about a trip that we took when my daughter was a toddler just learning to walk. She would toddle down the hallways at Disney's BoardWalk Villas, gaining confidence with every step. Please do know while Disney will do their best to honor a request that you make, requests are not guaranteed.
I hope that this information is helpful for you, LisaAnn. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions!
