What are the best rides for a 7 year old boy at Magic kingdom?

    Hello there, Lota!

Welcome back to planDisney, it's so nice to see you! With a little Mouseketeer that was seven years old not too long ago, I was so excited to see your question. I'd love to offer some ideas:

    • The Barnstormer is a great starter coaster, if thrills are new for you. The Great Goofini certainly has a unique flying style. Guests must be 35" tall to ride.
    • Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was my son's favorite when he was seven. It's a thrilling attraction, but not too crazy. Plus, the seating gives you the option to cuddle a bit for extra encouragement. Guests must be 40" tall to ride.
    • For kids who love video games, the competition and fun of Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin is always a good time. Is your aim good enough to be a Galactic Hero? We will see!
    • The Haunted Mansion is an absolute classic. My kids have always loved it! They're especially entertained by the interactive elements in the queue outside the mansion.
    • Nothing makes my kids laugh as hard as spinning at top speed on Mad Tea Party.
    • Pirates of the Caribbean calls to the adventurer in all of us!
    • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is such a quirky family coaster. It isn't very fast, but the swing of the mine carts makes it extra fun! Guests must be 38" tall to ride.
    • Tiana's Bayou Adventure made a splash earlier this year and it's great. I love the music so much! Guests must be 40" tall to ride
    • If you're really looking for a thrill, you'll want to try Space Mountain and TRON Lightcycle / Run. These two attractions have the tallest height requirements (44" and 48" respectively) and aren't for everyone, but they are epic if you're feeling up to the challenge!
I find that the "best" attraction for anyone can be very subjective. Some kids love a thrill, while others respond more to music or character interactions. My best advice is to explore the website to see all the attractions and entertainment in Magic Kingdom Park, choose a few you know you want to do, and then let your little guy be the guide when you get to the park. He might fall in love with entertainment, like the Country Bear Musical Jamboree or Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor!

Don't forget to take lots of photos, grab a treat, relax on the grass in the hub, and enjoy the atmosphere at the park, Lota!

    Keep moving forward!
