What are the best rides to go to an animal kingdom other than avatar flight of passage and expedition Everest

    Hello there, Thea!

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney. It sounds like you are going to have an awesome time in the great wild somewhere. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park has some of my favorite attractions.

Thea, I always like to start my day by rope-dropping Avatar Flight of Passage. If you want a breakfast snack after the attraction, I like to pick up a Pongu Lumpia from Pongu Pongu, located right next to the attraction exit. After Avatar Flight of Passage, I’ll go to Kilimanjaro Safaris for a beautiful sarafi, exploring the Harambe Wildlife Reserve. You’ll always see something new on every trip. Next, I recommend going over to Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain if you are a thrill seeker. If the wait time for this attraction is long, you can always join the single-rider line on the right-hand side of the attraction. Sometimes, the single rider line moves faster if you are okay with splitting up your party. Finally, I always like to wrap up a morning of thrill rides with DINOSAUR to see if I can capture a dino.

Although I just listed some of my favorites, you’ll find lots of other attractions in the My Disney Experience mobile app by selecting the location button at the bottom of the screen, pressing “filter” at the top left, and selecting Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Next, select the arrow next to “Wait Times” and choose “Attractions” to see all of the attractions on the map. You can also press “Show List” at the top right to see all of the attraction wait times.

Besides the attractions, I always like to take some time to relax when I’m in the theme park. I highly recommend “rope dropping” Nomad Lounge as soon as it opens since they don’t take reservations. This tropical lounge is located along the water, and you can grab a spot on the outdoor patio for a fun cocktail and the most delicious churros if you arrive early enough. In addition, I could spend a whole afternoon walking around all of the exhibits, watching Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond!, or taking the train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch. I hope you are as wild about these tips as I am.

May the magic be with you!
