what are some of the best rides at EPCOT.

Well hello there Caroline, I'd like to wish you a warm Canadian welcome to planDisney!

As a fellow Ontarian, I can imagine how much it takes to keep pushing through the planning of a Walt Disney World Resort visit - and sometimes you just gotta go to see what it's like! I would be absolutely honoured to offer you some relief and bestow upon you my Princely Picks for which rides would be considered number one at EPCOT! Some may argue that Living with the Land is the answer to nature's call to learn as you float along, or that Frozen Ever After is fun to experience as Elsa takes the throne and opens the gates of Arendelle with a surprise splash, but these honourable mentions come at a close number two to the following choices that I personally think are the best rides:

    • Spaceship Earth is arguably the most iconic ride in all of EPCOT, being found right at the entrance and can be seen from everywhere you venture throughout the park. At just under 16 minutes in length, this is also the longest ride with statistically lower wait times that really embodies a lot of the original spirit of discovery and storytelling that EPCOT represents. While light on thrills, this slow-moving ride can be a respite from the weather and a chance to glimpse some great Audio-Animatronics that are still impressive after decades!
    • Test Track is incredibly popular with predictably long standby queues for a much quicker ride experience that will take you over 100 kilometers per hour at one point! This is one of those attractions that folks tend to make a priority if they're in search of sheer speed and a lot of rapid movements during their ride.
    • Soarin' Around the World has to be the most consistently beloved attraction that has duplicate versions found at Disney Theme Park Destinations around the world, providing what I think is just enough exhilaration from the sensation of flight combined with a full-on assault on your senses that is just universally enjoyed. There's just something about that perfect combination of gorgeous visuals from across the globe, the various scents you encounter and that feeling of being freely conveyed on the winds for a generous amount of ride time that makes it just as popular.
    • Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is currently the newest ride at EPCOT and still requires guests to use a Virtual Queue system in order to be able to board, which may limit the number of people who have the opportunity to experience it each day. Despite this, it is an incredible experience that begins with the queue and pre-shows, through to the actual ride itself that combines speed, smoothness and a significant amount of spinning to simulate the feeling of hyper-jumping through space to a sweet soundtrack.
I hope that this was helpful to you Caroline, and I wonder what you think are the best rides at EPCOT after you get a chance to experience them all - please come back to planDisney again to let us know and ask our team any more great questions!

Here's to sitting back and enjoying the ride on your next EPCOT adventure!
