what are the best rides and attractions for 3-5 year olds?

    Greetings from planDisney Mary!

You are going to take me to my happy place talking about the best rides and attractions for those little Mickeys and Minnies!  My wife and I were so fortunate to be able to watch our daughters fall in love with Disney during our trips when they were young. Now we get to live it all over again with our four grandsons who are between the ages of one and six!

Our most recent trip with my best buddies gives me the inside scoop on what a 3–5-year-old would love to do at Walt Disney World!  The answer is everything!  But I’ll try to narrow it down!

Our grandsons all have such varied interests, and Hollywood Studios seemed to cover a lot of those bases.  Our Star Wars lover was in awe of the land itself and of course he joined his dad at Savi’s Workshop to build their very own Lightsabers!  Toy Story Land brought the movies to life and getting a hug from Buzz Lightyear sent my buddies “to infinity and beyond”!  Make sure the kids take a spin on Alien Swirling Saucers. My intergalactic buddies could spin with the aliens all day!

Magic Kingdom brings back memories of royalty!  Three of my buddies were transformed into handsome princes at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!  The pictures and memories from that day will always be a special Disney memory for us!

Magic Kingdom has so many attractions and rides that it's hard to pick just a few.  Dumbo the Flying Elephant is a classic that I rode on when I was little, so I always take time to fly with the kids.  Mickey’s PhilharMagic is a wonderful short adventure with classic songs and a fun story! Plus, it gives you a chance to get off your feet! Of course, the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is a must see!

The Kilimanjaro Safaris at Animal Kingdom is an unforgettable experience and each Safari is unique so you can do this multiple times and see something new and exciting each time! Turtle Talk with Crush is totally tubular at EPCOT, and the little dudes and dudettes will have a blast talking turtle!

Don’t underestimate the power of a resort day at a Disney Resort hotel!  My grandkids loved the pools and the waterslides, and all the activities hosted by the amazing cast members.

Hot diggity dog! There is so much fun waiting for you and your little Mouseketeers at Walt Disney World! Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for up-to-date information on all things about Disney!

I hope this gives you just a small sample size of what is waiting for you!

Have a Magical Day Mary and thank you for stopping by planDisney!
