Hi Bettina,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My family loves to plan our dining reservations as much as our Fast Pass+ selections!
The number of restaurant choices at the Walt Disney World Resort is dizzying. We like to choose our character meals first. Even though our girls are now 11-years old, they still love the character dining experience. Some of our favorites are The Crystal Palace, 'Ohana, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare.
Of course, there are other sensational restaurants. At Epcot, Coral Reef Restaurant is amazing. It feels almost as if we are dining in the middle of the ocean. At Disney's Hollywood Studios, in 50's Prime Time Café we feel like we have stepped back into my grandmother's kitchen with friendly reminders to keep our elbows off the table. Our girls happily accept the reminders so that they can order the milkshakes! Rainforest Cafe® at Disney's Animal Kingdom rumbles with the occasional thunderstorm. Of course, in Magic Kingdom, Be Our Guest sparkles like the enchanted castle it is.
Since restaurants can get quite busy, I always suggest making
advanced dining reservations prior to your visit. Be sure you have created a
My Disney Experience Account. When you make advanced dining reservations, you can link those dining reservations to your My Disney Experience Account.
Bettina, when we want a more casual dining experience, we visit Sunshine Seasons in Epcot, ABC Commissary in Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Satu'li Canteen on Pandora in Disney's Animal Kingdom. If you want a fabulous signature dining experience, try dining during the Happily Ever After fireworks at California Grill. The views are spectacular!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
