What are the best restaurants & character dining for 6 year old boys. We will be at Disney for 5 days. 2 days Magic Kingdom, 1 Epcot, 1 Hollywood Studios, and 1 Animal Kingdom. Staying at Wilderness Lodge

    Hi Julie,

My sons have always enjoyed the restaurants at WDW that have a "fun" factor around them, so I thought I'd start there with some suggestions for your sons.

First, at the Wilderness Lodge, the LOVE the antics of Whispering Canyon Cafe, not to mention the bbq.  For them arriving and having a table of Lincoln Logs was an instant hit.

At the Magic Kingdom, Cinderella's Royal Table (the castle) has always been a regal experience, even if they have to meet a few princesses. We also like to hop on the monorail over to Chef Mickey's (the Contemporary) and 'Ohana (the Polynesian) to meet Mickey and do coconut races.

At Disney's Hollywood Studios, hands-down 50's Prime Time Cafe and the Sci-Fi Dine-In are still hugely popular with my guys.  How often do you get to eat in a car or watch old black/white tvs?

At Epcot, Teppan Edo and Coral Reef are enjoyable & a bit calmer.

At the Animal Kingdom, the Rainforest Cafe has lots of action if you don't have one near your home. Similarly, Tusker House and Yak & Yeti are popular.  We also always have on our reservation list dinner at the Animal Kingdom Lodge at Boma.
