Hi - What is the best restaurant to watch Wishes while we eat dinner? We are hoping to grab a reservation on the 3rd or 4th of July, but are unsure which restaurant to try. Thanks!

Hi Jessica! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

While I have never been to the Walt Disney World Resort for Independence Day I have heard that the wishes nighttime spectacular is just out of this world! In my opinion there are two fantastic restaurants where you can view the wishes nighttime spectacular from.

Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resorts offers delicious food served family style. The atmosphere and hospitality in this restaurant is one of my favorites and I have never yet been disappointed. At the start of wishes, the lights are dimmed and the music is piped in! I do have to say however that not all seats have a view of the fireworks and there is no guarantee that you will be seated where you can view them.

My absolute top pick however is at California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. This is a more upscale restaurant, the food is delicious, wine list is extensive, and the views are breathtaking. What I love about this experience is that even if you are not dining during wishes, if you have a reservation or if you have already dined here that evening (just bring your receipt to the check-in desk), you can watch from the California Grill Lounge or head up to the outside observation deck. The lights are dimmed and the music is also piped in leaving you in awe of this beautiful display.

Please stop back and see us real soon! We love helping guests just like you! Have an #Unforgettable time!
