Season's Greetings, Bill! I'm so excited to see that you're planning to spend the Most Wonderful Time of the Year at the Most Magical Place on Earth! It's sure to be an extra special holiday season for you and your family, and securing an
advance dining reservation for Christmas Day is the perfect way to celebrate! Let's explore some options for holiday dining that are sure to bring joy to your world!
Bill, if you're looking for a traditional holiday feast, my top recommendation would be
Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom Park. Their traditional menu offers favorites like turkey and stuffing, mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese. It's sure to give you a classic holiday meal and is a great choice if you're planning to be at
Magic Kingdom Park on Christmas Day!
If you're looking more for a holiday ambiance, I'd recommend
Whispering Canyon Cafe, which is located inside of
Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The lobby of Wilderness Lodge during the holiday season is my favorite, and Whispering Canyon Cafe's open restaurant concept offers some spectacular views of the holiday décor. This restaurant also usually offers a special holiday prix fixe menu on both Thanksgiving and Christmas Day as well, so you get the best combination of traditional food and ambiance together!
If you'd like to include some character with your holiday meal, consider dinner at
Garden Grill Restaurant in EPCOT or Minnie's Holiday Dine at Hollywood and Vine in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Both of these options offer an all-you-care-to-eat dining experience with holiday hugs from some of your favorite characters served tableside for a little extra magic! Garden Grill is also included in the
recently announced Candlelight Processional Dining Packages, so if you're looking to include this holiday tradition in your plans, this is a prime way to secure guaranteed seating to this event following your holiday meal.
One final recommendation I'll share is the
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground. Pioneer Hall decks its halls with holiday touches for the season and you can try to snag a reservation for a
Holiday Sleigh Ride around the campground to add some extra holiday magic before or after your meal!
Bill, as you can see, it's hard to pick just one because there are so many great options! I hope this gives you some places to explore as you decide the best fit for your family, and I'm wishing you the most merry, magical Christmas dinner ever at the Walt Disney World Resort! Happy Holidays,
