Whats the best resort to stay at with an 11 and 4 year old who are picky eaters?

    Hi Terry,

Thanks for your question.  Did you know that I have an eleven-year-old too?

If your children are picky eaters, I highly recommend you take your kids to some of Disney's wonderful buffet restaurants because the buffets at Walt Disney World give choosy diners of all ages many choices.  Everyone is bound to find something they will like at restaurants like Chef Mickey's on the fourth floor of Disney's Contemporary Resort.  Perhaps you would like to stay at the Contemporary during your vacation.  That would afford you proximity not only to Chef Mickey's but also to the extensive buffets served throughout the day at 1900 Park Fare in Disney's Grand Floridian Resort.  You can reach this restaurant in no time by boarding the resort monorail at Disney's Contemporary Resort.

You didn't mention whether a deluxe Disney resort was within the range of your vacation budget, so let me also suggest a great value resort where picky eaters can be accommodated.  I stayed at Disney's Pop Century Resort last May and was very impressed with the wide array of food options at the Everything Pop food court.  I imagine your children would find many great choices if you were to stay at this resort.  My son enjoyed the food there quite a bit.

If your children have specific foods that they typically prefer, you could post a follow-up question to the Moms Panel and we would be delighted to direct you to restaurants at Walt Disney World where you can find their favorite dishes.

Have fun planning your magical Disney adventure!

    Best wishes,
    Jill
