Best resort for getting to and from MK & Epcot as well as fun for my almost 2 year old without cashing in my 401k? Going in Sept/Oct, looking for a fun for the whole family resort to hang out when its too close to bedtime/naptime to hit the parks.

    Hi Alison,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  You and your little one are going to have an amazing time on your upcoming vacation.  I have two little ones myself, so I definitely understand the need to have a resort which offers amenities everyone can enjoy for those times when the park is just too much.  Since everyone's budget is a little different, I will recommend our favorites from a few different price points. Hopefully, you will find the option which works best for your family.

For the best access to both the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, one of the three monorail resorts would be the ideal choice and Disney's Contemporary Resort is the most affordable of the three.  This resort has amazing amenities including white sand beaches, splashtastic pools, and lots of recreational activities. While Disney's Contemporary resort allows you the freedom to walk to the Magic Kingdom, Disney's Beach Club Resort allows you to walk into Epcot through the International Gateway into the World Showcase.  The Beach Club Resort also boasts one of the most amazing resort pools. Stormalong Bay is a "3-acre water wonderland"  your family will love! My little ones loved sitting on the pool's sandy beach while splashing at the water's edge.  It is also great to be able to enjoy all that Disney's Boardwalk has to offer during those times you aren't at a park.  We have taken many leisurely strolls while my youngest nap in their stroller. Even though Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort are both further from the parks, we find the relaxing atmosphere and beautiful scenery at each, more than make up for the distance.

I'm out of room now, but I truly hope you will find your perfect resort location from the recommendations I have made.  Please let me know if I can help you further. Have a wonderful vacation!

    Magical Wishes,

    Lauren
